    I wanted to put this out there as an example of a simple theme with simple chords that can form a masterpiece (IMO) in the hands of the genius.

    A forum member recently posted a piano theme for his girlfriend that had very nice inklings of an emotion that I thought could be inspired further by this piece; I think anyone could listen to this and learn (maybe) how to take simple chords voiced to make them go into the stratosphere.

    Also good transcription challenge to separate guitar and piano (subtle) amongst bass/strings,

    Lovely piece, very interesting style too. Too bad the string idea at the beginning is so quickly dropped, but nice to hear it appear again later.

    As for easy chords voice for strings, I have to think of Alan Silvestri. This piece in particular reminds me of his soundtrack to Cast Away. I recently transcribed the beginning of the Contact theme (end credits), which is also a good example.

    I agree, after listening to the Cast Away, it is very similar. I really like the emotion they both evoke so expertly!
    I try, but I know I fall short. :)
