    Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to share a recently finished piece :

    What is it about?
-> Of course there is neither sonata nor or 1,4,5 form in here. I wrote this piece with a moving picture action scene in my mind (which was never made). Like in 3rd acts of older SW films where; Jedi fights, x-wing fleet wars and ground assaults of rebel infantries happen at the same time with camera switching from one action scene to another.

    What is the compositional content?
-> There are lots of octatonic and Hungarian scales in place. I discovered that there are many different ways to utilize octatonic scales other than simply nose dive into scales and also found many re-purposing availabilities. I tried to utilize them as much as possible in various ways.

    Project Management?
-> in this video you see all the notes are in orchestral scoresheet form. This is a new approach I started recently. These notes are indeed in Logic pro are but they don't trigger any samples. After years of struggle about how to handle scoresheet and sequencer separately, I decided to add notes into logic pro but on completely separated and naked tracks for visual tracking purposes. So these tracks and notes actually don't trigger samples. Below that section I have another section for sketching and below the sketching section I have real orchestral template. So i dial in some notes, mostly by playing, then copy them to scoresheet tracks in quantized fashion.

Registering notes by writing or playing?
Somethings I play in , somethings (like impossible to play fast violin passages) I write them via step sequencer and then "de-quantize" and "humanize" them.

Thanks for your time on listening.

Important note. I want to submit my thanks to @Mike Verta on this. If I didn't know him and his teachings, I would still be writing 32 horns over 100 viola ostinatos sitting on top of zebra loops. When i joined red banned I couldn't play a single note on keyboard with my fingers and had no understanding whatsoever of structure at all. It took me ~ 5 some years but in my case the ride was worth it (thanks are not only to Mike but to all users and mentors in red-banned family (such as Doug, Alexander and so on)).
