    Hey Aaron,

    So first the things I like a lot: Your intro and the use of orchestration, color and harmony, thats all very cool here and man I wished that you had explored that intro main motif..why why? :D Give more in that regards, at least a minute with a nice b section, then you can go into that next dark part. But as you said in the chatrole, the piece was more assembled together from different ideas. I also like the other parts a lot, though there comes the point: it feels like a medley a bit not that obvious maybe in the first 2 1/2 minutes, at 3:20..make motif development of your initial idea, that would be my idea. At 4 minutes you are running out of steam imo. Then follows a nice lyrical part which is also nice. The later it goes in that suite, the less it makes sense to me, like that part at 7 minutes has stylistically nothing to do with the piece..it feels very distracting to me. Keep coherence.

    Maybe a good exercise could be for you to take one motif and try to repurpose the same idea over and over to see how far you can go out with it. I actually practise that stuff with one piece and maybe that could be an idea for you too? However the sound is cool, and show definitely a good amount of effort which you put into the programming.

    Hey Aaron,

    great exercise learning composition, orchestration and balancing your template. I‘m with Alexander, take one musical idea and make one cohesive piece of music out of it. Alex already eplained the problems with the structure so I am not going to repeat that.

    What I would recommend is trying to develope some musical ideas that are more your own. I hear a lot of Michael Giacchino here (Star Trek, Jupiter Ascending, new Marvel Logo) and your mystery/villain theme is VERY close to John Williams‘ „The Adventures Of Tintin“. Again, it‘s a great way to learn and practice composition and orchestration that way, nothing wrong about it. The next step would be to come up wih some musical ideas and use the orchestration techniques you‘ve learned to develope it. Steal the structure and the orchestration techniques of those pieces and use them for your own musical ideas.

    Let the ideas flow and keep it coming.

    @Aaron Venture the sound is delicious. And everything sounds very believable. My ears are old, so perhaps I am wrong, but it sounds very believable and professional to me. I would believe this could be used in a media project as is.

    I have to agree with @Alexander Schiborr that there are too many disparate ideas for one piece. There is enough material in this piece for four or five different pieces. I adore your theme at 5:00. Simple but beautifully orchestrated and performed. I am looking forward to listening to your next composition. Your skills are growing!
